I came across this quote that really made me think! It reads: "Ten years from now, make sure you can say that you chose your life, you didn't settle for it." Ten years from now, we should all want to look at our lives and be sincerely happy with where we're at, who we're with and what we're doing. Sometimes we find ourselves in times where we feel stuck or we decide to do things not because we truly want to, but because others want us to(family etc). Maybe we're in a relationship where we truly love that person but we know in our heart that we should not be with them anymore. Or you might be ready to leave but every time you get the courage to, they somehow always know what to say to change your mind. In ten years, do we want to be doing something that we don't want to?? Do we want to still be in that relationship that we know we're not happy in?? No right?? The same can go for friendships and sometimes even certain relationships with family members. We've got to gain that courage to spread our wings and do what makes us happy! If family wants you to be a doctor or a lawyer but you want to be an artist or a teacher, be the best artist or teacher that you can possibly be and if they don't like it, oh well!! They'll get over it. Get out of the relationship or friendship that you shouldn't be in! It will only lead to unhappiness and I promise you God has somebody better! Let's spread our beautiful wings and do what we feel in our hearts that we should be doing, because 10 years from now, it will still be us running our lives, not everybody in our ears!~Xoxo, SteffieJ
